This property located in West Grove Borough, Chester County, Pennsylvania undertook a comprehensive two-phase conservation landscaping transformation through the White Clay Creek Watershed Association's Catch the Rain (CTR) program. Working in two phases the landowner converted large areas of conventional turf grass to native plantings and installed a vegetated swale along the driveway edge to slow and capture runoff. Phase 1 addressed the front/driveway area with a swale and native perennial bed, while Phase 2 extended conservation landscaping along the hillside and rear fence line, nearly eliminating lawn from the property and replacing it with a diverse mix of native shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers.
