Wild & Scenic Steering Committee

The White Clay Creek Wild & Scenic Watershed Steering Committee is made up of local citizens, representatives of conservation organizations and other interested parties, and delegates from state and local governments. The National Park Service provides staff to help link the Committee to other agencies and the public, and it also provides technical and financial support.

The Steering Committee meets quarterly to discuss watershed projects and get updates from the Program Director and the National Park Service River Manager. All meetings are open to the public and we welcome your support.

Program Director

Shane Morgan has served as Program Director for the White Clay Creek Wild and Scenic River since 2012, spearheading initiatives to protect and restore the watershed’s ecological integrity, cultural heritage, and community connections. With a background in ecology and hands-on experience operating a landscape design business specializing in native plants and green stormwater infrastructure, she brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and practical solutions to collaborative conservation efforts.
