A rain garden is coming to the White Clay Creek Preserve! We're ditching the lawn and installing native plants. Why? The garden will soak up runoff, support pollinators, create wildlife habitat, add beauty, and enhance the experience for everyone visiting.
Volunteers will plant around 1,000 native plants and mulch the garden afterward. Prior to planting, Park staff will have removed the lawn, taken down the invasive Norway maple tree, and graded the site. Click below to see the shifts and sign up.
